Freebies... Over the Past, I Don't Know, Month and a Half? OOPS!

So I actually have not gotten that many freebies, unless you count giveaway prizes (which in my world, will be a different post).

Cereal, which I don't eat. But my sister loves Greek yogurt, so I snagged the sample. She thought it tasted, "Okay".

The Mocha Latte sample... I don't like coffee, my sister does. She got a look on her face and poured this down the sink. It was hilarious.

Face wash. Haven't tried it yet.

Tea. I figured my sister would drink it, she likes it, I hate it. Haven't tried these samples yet.

"K Cup" style cups of coffee. Grabbed the samples just to see what we would get. These all went to my great grandparents who have a Keurig as well.

Lipton Tea K Cups. Figured we could try them. My sister had already gotten a box of the sweet tea, so we kept that, but my grandparents got the black tea.

Caramel Macchiato K Cup sample. My sister did not enjoy this either. I was amused again.

Rimmel mascara. Thank goodness, because I needed new mascara. I actually liked this sample.

To wrap it up, we have 2 Starbucks K Cup samples. One is Vanilla and the other is Caramel. My sister has yet to try these.

Thanks for reading,

Jennifer

Sample Review #3

I'm back with more sample reviews :)

First, I have the LOVELY (hahaha) Maybelline FitMe Shine Free Foundation. As I stated in my initial post, 3 different shades are included. I peeled back my sample, and this was it...

When I showed someone else, they agreed with me. This is NOT enough to try on my face. I liked how it applied, but it would not be the same if I bought the product. The product is a stick.

The second product I will briefly review is Centrum Flavor Burst Vitamins.
I was afraid because they are grape flavored. It was not completely intolerable tasting, but it was a strong taste. They were easy to chew as well.

So those 2 will be it for this post! Thanks for reading!

Freebies in the Mail #5

I cannot believe that this is post #5 in my forever ongoing "Freebies in the Mail" series of posts!!

I have 4 freebies to share today, and 1 just showed up today!

The first freebie is a foreign perfume sample. It came from the Czech Republic and it is called Especially Escada.

The second freebie is a sample of Garnier Fructis from Walmart. I will not be able to review this one as my sister loves shampoo samples.

I will not review this one either, but free pads and liners are a good thing! 2 pads and 2 liners from U by Kotex.

The fourth and final freebie is from Centrum. This is 2 vitamins in GRAPE. REALLY? Grape healthy stuff is the WORST.
So that's it for now! I have some older freebies, a sample review, a haul and some nail polish posts coming up.

SEE YA!

Freebies In The Mail #4

So, I have few more freebies to share! At least 5 to share here. I know, I went a little crazy!

First, I have a sample I got for someone else. I know, I know. But hey, my grandma's coffee is EXPENSIVE. I figured a little packet might be nice. This is from Maxwell House, and in case you were curious, my grandma drinks the French Vanilla kind :)

Second, I got another Maybelline foundation sample. My review post that has this product in it will explain why I am not showing the picture of it. This one, however, came from Target.

Third, I got an Advil sample from CVS. The sample isn't on there because I got a headache and kind of, well, used it. LOL.

Fourth, I got a sample of Estee Lauder Modern Muse.

Fifth and finally, I got a sample of Katy Perry Killer Queen!

I'll post more as I get more.

SEE YA!

Freebies In The Mail #3

I've gotten a TON of new freebies in the mail lately! I'm going to have to split the past week into 2 different posts!

I'll start with a toothpaste sample! I know, fun. :) It is from Arm and Hammer.

Secondly, I got a mouthwash sample! Again, so much fun :) It is from Colgate.

Third, I got a bracelet from Kotex.

Fourth and final (for this post!) is a sample of lotion from Eucerin.

So that's it for this post! Watch for reviews on some of these samples!

Recent Nail Mail!

I have several pieces of recent nail mail to show! One is a giveaway prize that I won, which could be under freebies or nail mail. One indie mini can be quickly tossed into to either post, so where freebie nail mail goes will vary ;)

The first polish is one that I somehow misplaced, so I do not have a picture. That polish is Julep Wendy, which is the red Rock Candy Glaze.

The second polish was on sale already, then I ended up with 50% off due to never using my BeautyBio code from Julep, and my credit to get a free polish was actually a $14.00 gift card. Between the 50% off, the sale, and a small gift card balance, the polish was $1.19 out of pocket. That polish is Julep Billie Jean.

The third polish that I got in the mail was an EXTREME lemming for me. I mean, I paid $11 US dollars to get it from Canada. I thought I would NEVER see this polish. I thought Salma would be 15 billion times easier to get than... JULEP GWEN! The sparkles do not come out at this angle, but it is SPARKLY :D

The fourth polish that I got in the mail was the one thing I kept from my monthly box. The other two items went in my swap box, but hey, I had a free box and figured I would end up buying the red anyway. So, here is Julep Anisa!

The fifth polish I received was from an indie brand. I find pages of indie brands through groups or entering other giveaways. A lot of indie brands do giveaways A LOT. Sweet Tea Polish was having a simple one, so I thought that I would give it a shot. I never expected to win!! So here is Sweet Tea Polish Daisy Dukes! It also came with a bobby pin that had A ROSE ON IT!

So that is my nail mail for now! Expecting 2 more polishes for now.

PEACE OUT! :)

Sample Review #2!

I'm back with more samples! I may review samples from beauty orders, samples I get in polish swaps or purchases from Facebook groups, or samples I get in the mail! That last part means things may reappear.

First, I have my sample of Viva La Juicy Noir! It smelled great. I love the wipe samples like this! It dried down nicely as well.

Second was a sample of Rogue by Rihanna. Love the scent, dries nicely, and the sample came with three wipes!

Third was a sample from Stila, which had three different face products that went together. They were all supposedly the same shade, but they did not seem to be. Here is a look at all three on my arm.
I can't get rid of arm shadow, but 3 spots on my arm looked different, at least in real life.

This is what the sample looked like:

I also used a fourth sample, the razor that I received. I liked it. To me, it was just a razor. The handle was a cool color, so I thought that was special.

That's it for now! Stay tuned and catch you later!

Freebies in the Mail #2!

I got two more freebies in the mail this week so far! I will have more freebies on the way soon, including an Influenster VoxBox!!

The first of the two freebies was a sample of Rogue by Rihanna. This sample had not one, not two, but THREE small wipes! I love the concept, because then you can wear it on three different pulse points at once! Apologies for my naked nail and my hideous knees!

The second of the two freebies was a sample of Maybelline Fitme Shine-Free Foundation. This was the sample from Walmart (Target.com also offered this sample, and I should get that soon) sent samples of 3/12 shades. The shades sent were numbers 120, 220 and 355. I think 110 would be the best fit for me, but I will see what 120 looks like. A $1 off coupon and a full color chart was on the back.

And this may just be my opinion, but I wish that the sample was a very small stick, instead of a peel back type sample.

So that's it for this post!

Catch ya later!

Freebies In The Mail!!

So, I've been signing up to receive several different free samples in the mail! I finally got a few of those this week.

I also redeemed a code for a free Julep polish from an older mystery box, won a giveaway prize, AND someone sent me a couple minis that they were never going to use!

Basically, this week's mail has been fun. Especially my little Canadian box :D Who DOESN'T want 4 free indies (1 full size, 3 minis)?

Starting with the mail freebies:

First we have a Viva La Juicy Noir towelette type sample. It smelled great, and this type of sample gives you the chance to experience the scent on  your skin. It also gives you the chance to smell the dry down.

Next, I received a Schick Hydro Silk razor through a text message. All I had to do was send a text message, click a link that I got in a reply, and fill out the form. Cards with more information and coupons came with the razor. The coupons were for money off shaving cream (the kind I use, SCORE!) and a refill for the razor.

Those were the non nail mail freebies this week! Now for the Julep freebie!
This lovely beauty is Julep Evie! It took long enough to get here. LOL. However, I had issues with my code and had to contact CS. I'm probably actually very lucky to have gotten it at all.

Next is my giveaway win! I won a prize from The Lazy Lacquerista (aka Michelle in Canada). It was from the Carpe Noctem Cosmetics giveaway. I won one full sized indie, and 3 mini indies.

The first polish I won was from Tara's Talons as well as the second one.

Michelle's Polish

Lacquerista Polish

After that was a Pretty & Polished mini
This one is Lollipops and Gumdrops

Finally, the full size indie was from Ruby White Tips
This one is KickAss Topcoat.

That was my awesome giveaway prize. It is always fun to win indies that you may not try otherwise!

I posted my ISO list on Facebook, hoping to swap for some things. I got a message from someone offering to send me a mini of a polish she got in a swap and had not used. SOLD. I got the package today, and she included another mini as well.

First was a Dollish Polish Mini.
Crystal Empire :D

Then, I got a no name Color Club mini
Really pretty red!

That is all my freebie mail since I last posted. I am working on a samples post, and a nail mail post. I want to try more samples, and get more paid for nail mail first :)

That's all for now!

See ya next time!

Reviewing Some Samples and My Goals for the Blog :)

Hi everyone! I used 3 samples this week and I wanted to review them for you!

First is this Too Faced Glamour Gloss. I would have taken a picture of it on my lips, but it smelled AWFUL. It was Play Doh. The brush, color and consistency were all good, but I could NOT get over the smell. This sample will be going in the trash!

Second was a product I have technically tried before, but got a sample of at Sephora. Philosophy Purity Made Simple. This product is very good for people like me. I'm lazy when it comes to washing my face. I don't want to have to use 3 different products in the morning (soap, liquid that makes my face warm, and lotion). It lathers well, and probably had 2-3 uses in the packet.

Lastly was a sample of Julep's Rock Star Hand Creme. I had heard about the floral scent before I tried it. It was not a totally intolerable, strong floral scent. It was subtle, and went away as it stayed on my skin longer. It did make my hands feel moisturized. It did take some time to soak in, but that is probably because I used too much.

So, those are my sample reviews! Now for the other part of this post! I am going to try my hardest to post every single week. The only way to become a better writer is to write. I will also try my hardest to post on the Facebook page at least once a day. Consistency is my first step on the path of becoming a better blogger :)

Until Next Time,
Jen
